Membership
MEMBERSHIP
Ordinary members are present or past serving members of the Military or RCMP.
Associate & Affiliate members are those who have not served in the Military or RCMP.
Membership Application
Membership application forms may be obtained at the Branch or downloaded from the Dominion Command website. Alternately, you may join on-line using the membership portal and selecting Vegreville Branch 39 as your home branch.
Membership fees are due each year between September & December, with a grace period extending to January 31st. Thereafter members who have not paid their dues are no longer a member in good standing, as per Dominion Command By-Laws, so must be signed into the Legion by a member who is in good standing, and are no longer eligible to play Legion sports, attend conventions, etc., until the current dues are paid and Legion status restored.
Membership dues may be paid in person at the Branch, or on-line using the Dominion Command membership portal. If paying on-line there is the option to pay for the current year, or sign up for automatic annual renewals. Members may pre-pay for up to 5 years.
Plastic membership cards are sent to the Branch for new members. Thereafter, annual membership stickers (with the current year) are sent to the Branch by Sept 1st each year. Once the current years' dues are paid, at the Branch or on-line, the member is provided with the current years' sticker which is placed on the back of the permanent (plastic) membership card.
Digital Membership Cards
In 2023 Digital Membership Cards became available, at no cost.
When you renew (or obtain) your membership you may request a digital card OR keep the plastic card - your choice but you CANNOT have both. To have a digital membership card your email address must be entered into the Dominion Command Membership Portal. Each time you renew your membership you will receive an email from Dominion Command with instruction for renewing your digital card.
iPhone users download the card to the Apple wallet on their cell phone.
Android users download the card to Google Pay on their cell phone.
